TB-500 is a synthetic N-acetylated 7-residue peptide derived from residues 17–23 of the parent protein Thymosin β4. The parent protein is an actin-sequestering peptide endogenously expressed in many mammalian tissues, studied extensively in cell-migration and tissue-injury preclinical models.
